It has been a few weeks since my last post, and quite a bit has happened in that time! Last weekend the Ultimate Fighting Championship took place here in Baltimore, featuring Jon Jones vs. Glover Texiera in the main event. Stickgrappler posted a nice recap along with some GIFs. Apparently a huge moment in the fight was when Jones cranked Texiera’s shoulder. For my brothers and sisters in the Inosanto, Sayoc and Atienza families, this is exactly the kind of torque we want when a Whizzer slips to a branch up position (Inosanto), count 4 in Sayoc Transition Drill 1 and is the exact same lock as Lock 9 in the Atienza I-Evo Lock Set.
And I really liked this slow motion GIF of Jones’ jab and fake jab to hook.
