Here is Part 2 of my interview with Sifu Tim! There was still more I wanted to talk about and ask him, so after training concluded the next day we sat outside and caught up some more. One of the things I admire so much about Sifu is his authentic sense of loyalty and dedication. In addition to his years assisting Sifu Larry Hartsell, traveling around the country and the world training with some of the foremost experts in martial arts, Sifu Tim often assists Guro Inosanto in and even outside of his Academy in Marina del Rey. I see him regularly bringing food to Guro or the staff, he is often behind the cameras or helping facilitate the Inosanto International Martial Art Instructors Association (IIMAIA) Training Conferences. He truly gives back, and sets the bar high for us as instructors, showing through his actions a model of stewardship and ownership.
Plus his wife often makes authentic, homemade Filipino food which she generously makes and shares when we are all in town!
